things to do

history holidays
Coming to Mulino Carletti is an opportunity to see how things were done in the past.

rural activities
The italian for 'craft' or 'skill' is //'mestiere'//, which sounds as close to 'mystery' as it does to 'mastery'. (Of course, the words are related.) We do not promise to make you a **master**, but if you would like to participate, [[30mestieri|here are some more details]].
winter retreats
Before my first winter stay at Mulino Carletti, I was rather uncertain about how I would find the conditions. At that time the only heating was one open fire. But the inconvenience and cold were handsomely compensated for by the sheer beauty of the winter landscape. Both before and during the snows, it is far more open in the winter, and the sense of calm is the greater, even when accompanied by the roaring of the river in spate.
